Cathryn is a CEO, construction industry leader and lawyer with over two decades of experience across construction law, government regulation, public policy and peak body leadership in Australia and the UK. Cathryn currently leads the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), Australia’s peak body for women in construction, representing over 16,000 members nationally. Her work spans government advocacy, commercial framework reform, workforce sustainability and cultural change — with a consistent focus on translating policy ambition into practical, measurable outcomes.

Cathryn’s career includes private legal practice, senior roles in government regulation, Deputy CEO of a major peak construction body, and international sustainability and EDI leadership in the UK built environment, where she advised clients and constructors on sustainability challenges and directed the sector’s largest diversity benchmarking exercise across over half a million employees.

Focused on levers to drive a sustainable sector – cultural reform, procurement and commercial frameworks, payment security, workforce participation, and equity, diversity and inclusion – Cathryn engages regularly with Ministers, government agencies, industry participants and representative bodies, and is a sought-after voice on the structural challenges facing the construction sector.

Cathryn holds tertiary qualifications in construction, law, public policy, international relations and governance.
