Stuart Smith is Managing Director WebFM. The firm provides a range of web based systems and consulting for the construction and facility management sectors. The firms award winning OMTrak and MPlan systems have set the global standard in innovation for project and facility management information. Over 3500 projects worth over $150b delivered globally. Clients include Defence, Retail, Commercial, Industrial, Health, Law and Order, Apartments, Infrastructure and Sporting Venues. Our clients save $ millions and streamline the delivery and management of their new and existing facilities.Stuart has been instrumental in developing new standards in project completion and asset management. He was the principal author of the new Australian Building Manual Guideline in conjunction with the Strata Communities Association and Engineers Australia. The Guideline sets out the acceptable standard for the content of a Building Manual at project handover and responds to the Building Reforms in the Shergold Weir Building Confidence Report.In addition Stuart’s development of the MPlan condition assessment methodology has enabled clients to reduce the costs of regular inspections and development of long term asset plans by up to 75%. Every NZ school utilizes this approach covering over 25,000 buildings.Stuart’s philosophy is “complexity is a result of incomplete development”. The WebFM systems are evidence of his ‘keep it simple’ approach to facility and asset management.
